A career member of the Senior Foreign Service, George Noll joined the U.S. Department of State in 1997. He arrived in Jerusalem in August 2020 and is currently serving as the Chief of the U.S. Office of Palestinian Affairs in Jerusalem. Other recent assignments include Deputy Minister Counselor for Economic Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Seoul, South Korea, Counselor for Global Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Berlin, Germany; interim Chargé d Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Minsk, Belarus; the Transatlantic Diplomacy Fellow at the German Foreign Ministry, Berlin, Germany; Senior Energy Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Moscow, Russia; and Deputy Political/Economic Counselor at the U.S. Embassy in Oslo, Norway. He has also served in Istanbul, Turkey, and in Washington, D.C. on the Russia and Nordic/Baltic desks. George and his wife have three children.
