USAID's Work in the West Bank and Gaza

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) improves the lives of the Palestinian people to set conditions for a viable two-state solution. In 2021, USAID provided over $110 million to support development and humanitarian programs in the West Bank and Gaza. The goal of USAID programs is to improve the lives of the Palestinian people to set conditions for a viable two-state solution between Palestinians and Israelis. USAID addresses the economic and development aspirations of the Palestinians people. USAID promotes private sector-led development; improves access to essential services like healthcare and clean water; increases opportunities for young people; supports civil society and vulnerable populations; and provides life-saving humanitarian assistance. USAID also promotes peacebuilding and conflict resolution between Israelis and Palestinians. Together, these efforts advance freedom, security and prosperity for Palestinians, Israelis and their neighbors.
